Oak Coffee Table

This white oak coffee table was made for a couple after moving across the country from the East Cost. Upon arriving and them getting their things organized and house decorated, they reached out for a coffee table.

I quickly sent them a couple of quotes with a couple of renditioning that I drew up on CAD software and they got back to me immediately with their decision.

White oak wood is fairly tough to work with. It is porous, stubborn, and has a mind of its own sometimes. It requires a great deal of patience (eeerrrrrrrrr!!!). As the table started to come along, I realized it was going to be a special piece. The finish was a wonderful slate grey which just tinted the wood enough without covering up that beautiful grain structure.
